My fiancé called up in the morning of our massage and we were booked in for that very afternoon. We both had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Alma and we must say that it was one of the best massage we have both had. We arrived to a warm welcome and a delicious cup of tea. We booked a couples’ massage at Soma after reading positive reviews online and we weren’t disappointed. Making the most of Soma’s winter special, my husband booked a remedial massage and I booked the slightly longer bliss massage and facial. Alma and Karen took the time to find out what our specific concerns were and tailored our massages accordingly, as well as offering advice on suitable stretches to avoid the problems returning. Even though he had a deep remedial massage, the experience was so relaxing that my husband fell asleep towards the end of it. The studio is a calm, warm and welcoming space, with Alma providing tea on arrival. The room is a comfortable temperature and decorated in a way that respects the heritage of the building. After a week of insomnia, caused by severe back and neck pain, with dizziness, I decided to try and have a massage done. I did not know this place, but I’m glad I discovered it, walking around Daylesford. Great kindness, courtesy, professionalism, with which I was welcomed. There is great cleaning and this is very important for me. I explained my problem and Alma was very good. The massage lasted an hour, it was done with excellent essential oils, in a warm and comfortable environment, with a very relaxing music in the background. The problem is not completely resolved, but I’m really better. She was very honest, she did not invite me to do other massages, but Alma advised me to have a consultation with a professional doctor for my back problems. I am very grateful to her for giving me a little relief after so many days of suffering. This was the highlight of my husband and I’s surprise Anniversary trip! Best massage we’ve had, the two ladies were so kind and called me on the day to let me know that a spot had opened up (we were so grateful, we made such a last minute booking). The place was small, but cosy and relaxing with a beautiful fireplace, there was so much attention to detail. My relaxation massage was perfect, not to hard and not too soft, those magic hands were perfect. Upon arrival the staff were well presented, friendly and welcoming.
My wife and I booked a 45min foot spa and rub treatment each and then I had a 1hr neck, shoulder and back massage and my wife had the 1hr relaxation massage.
The room we had the massages in was clean and had a lovely atmosphere.
The robes, towels and beds were in great condition and even had electric blankets on the beds for extra warmth and comfort.

He is a chef and has regular massages, and I am seriously ticklish person (as a result get them infrequently) the kids had worn us both down to a nub. I made a last minute decision to have a Reiki healing when I unexpectedly parked outside Soma Massage. What a great decision. It was meant to be. Yvette was warm, friendly and inviting and to my surprise,had a free appointment. The healing was beautiful and so peaceful. I could feel so much energy coming through Yvette and she was able to identify afterwards the areas the healing occurred. The room was warm and inviting and immediately a sense of calmness came over me . I am hoping that I will be back to Daylesford in the near future to have another healing. Thanks so much to Yvette for our wonderful experience today. My 8yo daughter and I were having a mother-daughter weekend and she had always wanted to try a “proper” massage. Yvette was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and super relaxed, explaining everything so that my daughter felt safe and reassured. I went to daylesford for some me time…no husband and no kids, So what do you do when you go there…get a massage. I drove by and saw Soma and instantly had a connection to the name. I rang and lovely Yvette fitted me in the same day. I had a deep tissue massage. It was wonderful. Yvette hit all the spots and the pressure was great. Upon entering the treatment room it was very inviting, and you immediately feel a sense of calmness and relaxation. The room and massage table was cozy and warm. Yvette makes you feel in the moment from the time she starts right up until the very end. I highly recommend Soma and i will be referring you to all my friends and family. Even so I went back again the next day and tried a Reiki massage for the first time. It was amazing. Thank you Yvette (in more ways than one 😉 I will definately be returning. I waited about a year after moving here to try one of the many massage experiences on offer in Daylesford. My mum and I came along to Soma and it did not disappoint! Yvette is very talented- just when you thought you couldn’t get more relaxed, she starts on another part of your body during the Bliss massage. I’ve felt relaxed for days after my Bliss massage. It was a perfect hour of relaxation that really stretched out my muscles and finally helped rid me of a dull neck ache gained from stress and travelling. Yvette was attentive and consulted me before and during the massage to ensure that I was comfortable. - Suzi gave me a beautiful Reiki treatment 3 days ago. I have been having Reiki treatments for over ten years now and I can assure everyone that Suzi has very special and talented skills as a Reiki practitioner. Since my treatment, my anxiety levels have dropped from a rating of 10/10 to about 2/10. A huge significant difference. I will continue to see Suzi on an ongoing basis because she is incredible !!!. 5 stars doesn’t even begin to sum up her amazing talent.
